Geez. I had to look.

Look at poor Haley. She's colored like Pancho but Pancho was never that thin.

It's a good thing they don't tell you where the dogs came from.

I swear I'd get in the car with my favorite piece of rebar.

It takes a special kind of person to abuse an animal or a child.

A very bad kind of special.:mad3:

Anybody who yells at somebody who can't yell back--or worse--gets a special place in my "don't get mad get even" list. It may take a while . . .

Geeze. She was a breeder's dog. I'd definitely hit the road. :mad3:

Awwww...:nonod:

I've seen much worse neglect, but it's always painful to see that when you're a "dog person".

This is one of the reasons I discourage people wanting a dog from dealing with puppy farms or some random "puppies for sale" ad, and encourage them to check the shelters (or adoption ads like these) first.

Many people breeding pets for sale either don't know what they're doing, don't care, or both.

And if you look to adopt, you may likely find that pure-bred you wanted that has just been in the hands of the wrong owner, or maybe you'll fall in love with some dog you never dreamed you'd want. The relationship works so much better when there's real "kismet", instead of getting a dog that's a lifestyle accesory.

I try to avoid shelters, myself- last time I went into one I left with a spoiled-rotten 3-legged Rottweiler mix. :D

11 years now, and I still shudder to think what might have become of her if I hadn't been such a sucker... :nonod:

. . . answers to "Lucky" (but sounds like it turned out that way for your pooch). I'm continually amazed at how many great dogs come from the pound. Maybe they somehow know how lucky they are.

I'm glad you are helping out Mike.

I can't help. Pancho is a one dog dog.

They have some other sad cases. One had an eye removed. One had a tumor. One puppy has a birth defect.

Pancho has given me enough of the pleasures of vet visits and vet bills.

She looks like she sure does need some love. With two cats at home I can't do it, but I will ask around here to see if anyone else can.
