*ahem* Excuse me, chart supplement.
Couple of examples from my own experience:
Havasu, KHII - designated calm wind runway is 32. It's posted in the AF/D and on airport signage. Nevertheless, the pattern is a zoo (actually it's less well managed than your average zoo) with aviators taking off and landing both directions simultaneously whilst arguing over which is "the active." The only thing they agree on is that downwind is over the lake.
Eloy, E60: Land on 20, take off on 02, and stay the hell out of the jump area directly south and east. Transients and en routes don't seem to be aware of the restrictions, and they don't respond when the jump planes yell at them to GTFO. They fly right through while meat bombs are falling out the sky.
Back in my self-righteous student^Wlearner days, I would give offenders a might arse-chewing. It didn't accomplish anything and just made me angrier, so I gave up yelling at idiots driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
How do you (as in all y'all) deal with pilots who ignore or dispute published local information?
