Buy Mooney, Daher, the Grumman TCs and the Cheyenne TC and build a monster company with everything from trainers to King Air killing turboprops.

Tailwheel endorsement, build time a Super Cub, move up to a T-6 for 500 or so hours, then a Corsair or Hellcat. If we want to go a long way or through IMC, I’d have a Netjets membership.

Finish rebuilding Moffett field’s Hangar One, and then build a replica of the USS Macon to putt around in. Why? Don’t know. I drive by the hangar every weekday on my way to and from work, and I think it would be neat to have an airship flying around again...

If I were pandering I'd suggest buying up every Cirrus so the pilots have to learn to fly a real plane.

But really, figure out how to get certification and production costs down so modern aircraft and equipment are actually affordable.

Of course you realize most Cirrus pilots learned in something else and moved up to Cirrus. We’ve tried your religion, now why don’t you try ours?

I would set up a fund: match every persons flight training expense dollar for dollar.

I’d buy the FAA and get rid of all of them. I’d replace them with a prerequisite that the incumbent flies or works in the aviation industry. For the people, by the people. Perhaps common sense would prevail.

Let's see I choose to put an FBO at every airport with free gas, free ADS-B for all, a training fleet for high schools and junior colleges, and something else.
My something else, buy my own "private" airport and put a house on it. Build an RV-10, Sling TSi, and a Sling 2. Buy DA-40 and DA-62. Start a flying club. If I had anything left probably buy an reopen Meigs, since anybody that has plays MSFS deserves a chance to land there.

If I were pandering I'd suggest buying up every Cessna, Piper, and Mooney relic so the pilots would see what flying something modern feels like

Since I'm not pandering, and I have gazillion dollars, I'd: "Buy a fleet of training airplanes for high schools and junior colleges."
.. since I'd still have at least half a gazillion dollars left then I'd
-travelling by airship.. there'd be a romance and novelty to a 2,000 ft long behemoth floating by overhead. And not of these ugly concepts you've seen, but something akin to the Macon or Akron, etc.
-start a company building safe, certified aircraft, create automotive and apple store style showrooms that could be purchased for the price of a typical car
-buy up every possible lobbying seat and position available to pull the FAA out of 1958
-hire Disney (like NASA, err, Von Braun did in 1965) to inject the populace with a new love of aviation
-SAVE THE AIRPORTS... make sure not one more airport ever gets closed again
-buy up Continental and Lycoming and finally offer modern, safe, piston engines for the fleet
-buy the air traffic controllers all new equipment, modernize ATC

**And with my quarter of a gazillion dollars left I'd finally afford to finish paying off my student loans

Support the next generation with pilot training. Have a few houses on air parks, with several different airplanes

Sell my house and buy one closer to KFTG.
Buy an RV10, already built by someone I trust but keep my cherokee.
Buy a house in the Prescott, AZ area.
Endow lots of scholarships for aviation students at Metro State (Denver)
Endow lots of scholarships for computer science students at Metro State (Denver) and Univ of Denver
Endow a chair or two in the Computer Science Dept at Metro State (Denver) and Univ of Denver
Set up lots more scholarships for Young Eagles who want to learn to fly
Donate lots of money to various animal rescue groups

I'd love to buy a fleet (3-4) of airplanes for the Metro State Flight Team, but insurance and liability and the absurdity of TPTB at the university (not the dept) won't allow it. But a non-profit that has no direct affilitation with the school and airplanes can only be used by the flight team and other aviation students could work.

A new, affordable A&P school in the Denver area. Many students are losing out when the public school closed a few years ago. The only option now is the overpriced (and not that great if rumors are correct) private, commercial A&P school in the Denver area. In fact, let's create lots of affordable A&P schools around the country in locations that don't have them now.

A new building exclusivly for the CS Dept at Metro with sufficient faculty, offices, labs, and classrooms designed by the faculty and not the Design Consultants would be fantastic. With its own network not beholden or subservient to the university's ITS dept.

I’d be a tough decision, but I’d buy a 172.

I would buy the FAA.
Sorry, not for sale, the current owners are content with the way it is now. They are planning on upgrades in the future, which will not please GA but will make Part 121 super-duper happy.

Well, shucks then. My second choice would be to buy Cathay Pacific. Not so much for the planes, but more for the FA's.

A brand new crew car at every airport.

Buy a ride on a space ship and spend a week or two on the space station.
Vomit comet is quite affordable, BTW. Used to be about $2k, now up to $5400 or so.

Last time I checked, trip to ISS didn't need a gazillion dollars.

Or just get your Astronaut title, anything above 100 km or 62 sm is well under a million:

Start an airline with seats people can actually fit in. Give other passengers the ability to vote off the screaming infants, bratty kids throwing temper tantrums, the dude that keeps dropping ass every six minutes causing everyone in his section of the plane to have dry heaves, or any private pilot that brings up he's a pilot to the flight attendant and ask if he gets some sort of perk. Then I'd live off the interest of what I paid myself as a hiring bonus and run all the other ****ty U.S. airlines out of business by running it at a loss until they are gone. Then run it at cost.

Edit: Oh, and no flights to anywhere near Chicago until CGX is rebuilt.

Do what I could to get diesel engines into the GA fleet. Same with electronic ignition and FADEC.

I would hire a bunch of people to lie for me so I can get elected to the White House, then I would put an end to the third class medical nonsense.
Then I would buy Kermit Week's collection.

Assuming I had the full gazillion dollars left after taxes.

I’d do what Kenny Powers would do.

Oh and I would buy off enough Senators and Representatives to pass a law to force insurance companies and companies to permit corporate travel via GA if they allow and cover travel via ANY other method. So if you are allowed to drive to a client, you are allowed to fly to the client in your bug smasher.
