Witnesses who saw the plane skip across the water thought they'd witnessed a crash and notified the York Police Department, which responded accordingly on Friday.

The incident was reported by several media outlets, including The Associated Press.

The police department notified the Federal Aviation Administration. An FAA spokesman said Monday there's no investigation and the landing was a "routine event."

Read the photo caption. Lifted onto the yacht by its owner. look at the size of the crane.

look at the size of the crane.
these guys must be engaged in some kind of marine contract work. I Googled Axis but a quick search was fruitless. I wonder if the plane is an "expense"

Go figure even the media assumes it's a problem with the A5 even when it's doing exactly what it was designed to do!

An icon was at my airport yesterday,Norwood Mass. could have been the same aircraft.looks good on takeoff.

Looks more like a salvage vessel than a Yacht. Ted DuP should look into it as he is looking into getting a houseboat.

Cheers

Interesting boat. (MY Axis, formerly Fast & Furious) Looks a bit like a work vessel but it was built as a yacht. It's only job is to follow another superyacht around and to carry the owners toys. 12ton crane to move the 'dinghy', helicopter pad, crew accommodation etc.
Apparently the owner decided to add an Icon to his array of toys.
