Ice Capades

I will never understand why they don't just stay home 'til the roads are cleared. :dunno:

(Otherwise, it's funny as hell! :rofl::rofl::rofl: )

Some of those stunts looked like "I double dog dare you!". They found out the ice isn't nearly thick enough yet. They, however, proved they were.
Winter just started. Plenty more time for sliding videos.

Here in Maine, regardless of how many published warnings come from various state/safety departments there will be continual stories of snow mobiles, trucks and cars going through the ice on those lakes and ponds which had been posted as Unsafe conditions.

Around here they do. If there is even a threat of snow they close the schools and everybody disappears. A lot of people who live on hills park at the bottom and walk up.

Used to be so fun... in Houston, when they get icy conditions, the TV stations just send news trucks to hang out near the Ship Channel Bridge on I610, so they could get great video of cars and trucks getting halfway up the bridge, then inexorably sliding back down.

Some of that is from Colorado Springs this year, and the bus is Seattle. LOL.

Fun stuff. It's missing the NYC grader driver who decided to have the tow-truck just pull him through the van parked on the side of the street though... that one's a classic. Turns out the van was also owned by the city!

The commentary from the guy filming from an upstairs window is great. (Warning: Profanity... for the squeamish.)

New Yorker's tax dollars at work! :D

When I lived in Albuquerque I would stay off of the roads whenever it snowed. It was bad enough when it rained, but snow was a free for all. Now that I live in Illinois one would think the drivers here are better in the snow and ice. But they aren't. Thank goodness for the Internet and the ability to work from home. If it is snowing I just cozy up in my home office and work from there. Let the crazies and the stress pass me by.

Illinois drivers suck 365 days a year. The only folks they might have beat are the Texans that simply drive off the freeway and through the fields if they miss their exit. But, your average Illinois driver is freakin' terrible. :incazzato:
