No that the initial shock has worn off, I am happy to say I WON THE WINGS OF HOPE RAFFLE!!!!!:D:D:D I was at the vet and missed that call, but almost drove off the road when I heard the voicemail. I'll probably hit up a lot of people on here from advice/guidance.

i had to google to see what the raffle was about and what you won.
did you just win a cessna 150, ppl lessons and a zulu headset?? :D

I bought one ticket for $50. They only sold 3,000 tickets. Can't wait to find out what the taxes will be! I won't be able to call until Tuesday.

I've been smiling all day. I must have looked like a crazy goof at the gym smiling while on the treadmill.

No idea yet! That's one of the many question I have to figure out in the very near future. Do you know of any place? I went out to my school in Hartford to talk to the guys there, but one was out with a student and the others were up at Oshkosh. I'm going to start calling around on Monday to see what options there are.
 
Josh, Congrats. Where 'round Milwaukee are you? Is Timmerman or Waukesha an option to look at? Hartford is a nice place, though.

I live just south of downtown. Anything that is decent drive is an option. Waukesha's website says they have unheated T-hangars for $200 a month. I'm also going to check out Capital Drive Airport, Sylvania Airport, West Bend. Racine's airport say $300 for a T-hangar, so that's off my list now. I hope I can get hold of people Monday because I'm off work.

I've heard that Timmerman is cheaper than Waukesha. But I'm a renter, so what the hell do I know. :wink2:

Ha! I'm for whatever will be cheaper. And it would be a little shorter drive to Timmerman for me.
 
Congrats!

I was willing to settle for 2nd or 3rd prize, but alas, I didn't win the Private Pilot lessons or the Lightspeed Zulu headsets. Oh well, there's more check writing in my future.
 
Wait, can you use the Private Pilot course that came with the first prize to pursue your instrument rating? :dunno:

If not, I'll give you $5k for it. That's a lot of 100LL... :yes:

I'm very sorry for your loss, Josh. It must be heartbreaking to forfeit that great prize package but rules are rules, and you broke 'em.... specifically Part 2 Paragraph 1 which states:


NO PICS, DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!!!
 
I own a '76 M although the FAA lists it as a '75 M. (76 was first year for circuit breakers vs. fuses of earlier models.) If you have any questions drop me a line. The 150 is a great introduction to ownership.
