...and I thought it sucked. Couldn't tell what was going on in most of the action sequences because of the choppy editing. Never did figure out what the big deal was. The villain was buying water rights in the Bolivian desert? And I'm supposed to care? And he didn't eve play hide-the-Walther with the film's main hotness. No gadgets, no witty reparte. Fe.

I agree. Leslie and I saw it opening night, and were underwhelmed. As you mentioned, the editing in the action scenes was so choppy that you couldn't even recognize what the danger was before you were past it. Also, there was no emotional involvement in the film. You never really felt for any of the characters. Maybe if you cam right out of seeing Casino Royale you'd have a better sense of motivation, but as a whole the movie didn't do much for me. OTOH, I'm looking forward to the new Star Trek and Harry Potter movies. Unfortunately, those aren't for at least another six months!

There is a lot of buzz about Star Trek. But the new Bond film is getting panned. We sure do miss the Cold War. At least we knew why we needed a secret army with an unlimited and secret budget.:yikes:

I'm told that if you didn't see the last one, don't bother with this one. And, even with the correlation it's not that good.

Hey, at least we "paid" for it with AMC Gold tickets that were included in the hotel package from when we went to see the Red Bull races in Detroit/Windsor with Missa, Dave, et al!
