I’m a long time Neil Young fan. Yesterday I watched a video of one of my favorite Neil Young songs, “Long May You Run”. The lines “We found things to do in stormy weather…” and “Well, it was back in Blind River in 1962 when I last saw you alive…” led me to believe the song was about a lost friend or lover. YouTube comments show many found comfort in the song in times of loss. But those comments also make note about what the song is really about, which I never knew. Is it more common knowledge than I thought?
(Note: should be “I learned something…” obviously. Maybe a mod can change it before the leaning jokes start?
