I can rubber band in Garmin Pilot Android, but can't seem to control if it wants to append the waypoint to a route or add it to the middle of a leg.

Sometimes I "long" touch and it want to append the route.

Other times I do the same "long" touch and it will want to add the waypoint to a leg in a route.

HELP!

I think I understand what you are trying to do. If you have a route already in the "active FPL", there will be a course line. If you want to modify that course line, you do not need to be actually touching the line to get it into rubber band mode. Touch the map, select the magneta line from the circle. When you go to modify the line, you drag and pick a spot where you want to modify it. If there is a waypoint, it will either drop it on that waypoint if there are no others near it or it will ask if you which waypoint.

If there are no waypoints, it will ask if you want to add one. If you did not drag the course line to this point, it will add it to the end of the trip.

I will see if I can post some pics.

This is going to be a painful process. Looks like I can only load 1 picture at a time...

In this picture I long pressed off of the course line. I will select the magneta course line tool and will move Cape Charles to the intersection to the East.

If I drop my finger drag on Schol intersection, it will move the course to it. If I drop it in the middle of no where, it will ask if I want to add a waypoint. The key is that you need to drag the line. If you don't, it will append.

Here is the result of me dropping the moved Cape Charles point to Schol. If I am below or above Cape Charles, I would insert Schol to the plan.

If I select the course line above Cape Charles and below Ewood intersection and drag it to Schol, it would insert it to the route.

If I do not grab the line but do pick the intersection, it will append it to the end of the route. Hope this helps.
