Only if I don’t get any actual and I need to shoot approaches for currency.
I've been safety pilot to a few guys who did use view-limiting devices while practicing approaches.
+1 ......only if I have to, in order to remain current.
If you retired think about how your instrument flying would improve. Just saying....but sometimes the weather and my WORK schedule don't agree with each other.
I tape the parts that I don’t want light through. Sunlight through the “fogged” portion is distracting. My daughter used to give them to novice rowers to teach them to keep their heads in the boat. Got to the point where I started making my own. Get some safety glasses, tape over the part you want clear, and then fog them with chemicals or sandpaper.

I am retired and still don’t get enough actual.
Don’t think that will be a problem any longer...Only if I don’t get any actual and I need to shoot approaches for currency.

Are you also wearing neon pink platform boots with leopard skin shorts that don't cover your ass?I do the same thing. People seem to stare at me when I am wearing them in Walmart...... Otherwise every 6 months on the check ride.

If he does, I’ll take a 10X12 glossy. Are you also wearing neon pink platform boots with leopard skin shorts that don't cover your ass?

How many actual IMC approaches do you do on the line?Only if I don’t get any actual and I need to shoot approaches for currency.
The last full month I flew was January and out of the 34 legs, 8 were instrument approaches. It depends. Some trips, the weather is crappy all the time and we’re shooting an ILS almost every flight. Other times, I’ve gone an entire trip without touching a cloud. How many actual IMC approaches do you do on the line?

X plane for currency?Pretty often - I don't get much actual, so I drag a buddy out and go under the hood/foggles. Or I fire up X-Plane.
If he does, I’ll take a 10X12 glossy.
Worried that he wants one, or that photographic evidence actually exists?I am starting to get a little worried here.....
Yes, fairly often - I dropped MS FS in favor of X-Plane - current approaches, better UI.X plane for currency?

On the subject of foggles, I purchased so called JeppShades, recommended by my flying club, yes, great idea but very poor execution, they fell apart in 5 weeks and this item has only 30 day warranty. I was surprised that such renowned company as Jeppesen stands behind such poor product.
Have you SEEN their software? Seriously.
