How about putting a Chevy 327 V8 in your plane?

I don't get it, if it is 1/6th scale, the displacement should be 327/216 or 1.51ci, but he shows it at 1.10

thats pretty cool.

i knew of a guy up in Fairmont, MN who had a 172 converted with a Chevy V8 on it. It was very experimental.

hmm - according to the bore*stroke he used, 1.10 adds up. I looked up the original dimensions and yeah, 1.51 would be right. My guess is he wasn't able to mill out to quite the right dimensions to match 1/6 scale. Other than that, it's still quite a job.

Rambler family, huh? :D

Hey! I learned to drive in a 1963 Rambler 660 Classic station wagon. 3 on the tree plus overdrive. 196 ci straight six. That thing was falling apart when my brother sold it, but the engine was still going strong.

Post-Rambler AMC but my dad never failed to razz me about my "Rambler"

1966 AMC Ambassador, 327 V8, Holley 4bbl
