One does have to wonder how 100% cotton qualifies as flame resistant.
Then it turns out, that they are resistant to flash events - not necessarily to something like a cockpit fire.

Proban. It’s a treatment applied to cotton. Pretty common for low-end fire suits for racing drivers.

Gross. It looks like a pile of human flesh was stuffed into that costume and then someone poked a hole in it just above the neck so it could squeeze out a head.
Turns out the person in the Tron Suit was a regular on POA a few years ago. Yes, he had this odd fixation on Tron but otherwise he was a nice guy and a meaningful contributor here on POA.

I’ve know Jay since high school. He’s always been a sci-fi guy and a ham opeartor. He’s the one that got me interested in becoming a ham too. Haven’t seen him or talked to him in a lot of years, but I do hit his Google+ blog ever so often.
Electricians, cable installers etc. are at times required by their workmans comp provider to wear FR clothing while on the job. Stores that carry work clothing often have a good selection of FR clothing that looks 'civilian'.

Last time I saw or spoke to him was when @tonycondon and Leah got married, so I guess that would've been about 9 years ago. He lived not too far from Esterville, so @Tristar and I flew up for lunch with him in the Aztec.
I really liked Jay, I wish he would've stuck around.
