HIMS AME SF Bay Area Adjacent

Hello PoA,

I had been consulting with a HIMS AME in the South bay on my ongoing medical certification process. He has since closed his practice and I am back to shopping around. There are a couple options, namely Dr. Simon in Novato and Dr. Andolsen in Healdsburg.

Anyone have personal experience with them? Anyone else I should look into? I'm sure everyone on the HIMS list would do a good job but I like to do my research.

Side question, does consulting with a HIMS AME preclude them from working with you "on the record"?

Just because on the list, DOES NOT guarantee they’re good. Definitely do some due diligence.

Yes, they can consult “off record”. It’s not exactly Atty/client, make SURE you two have an understanding here.

Went to Dr. Andolsen for 3rd class medicals maybe four times before switching to Basic Med. Good guy. He was able to quickly work me through a blood pressure issue once that avoided FAA involvement-
much appreciated.
