Everything Offends Me
Some of the best (and embarrassingly public) times of my life are represented here....the first time I ever was professionally certified to wrestle.

My mom is clearing out our trophey case to store some of my grandfather's things, so I had to come take all my little league trophies and my newspaper awards. Apparently, she kept this too, even though it was from my adulthood :D

Wow... 2 things come to mind..

Maine has wrestling? And theres a licensing process for it?

Well, yes and yes.

Maine has a tight grip on wrestling, so much that it is treated as a sport and the athletic commission has a tight grip on what happens there. It explains why the WWE rarely goes up there.

That said, the licensing process is generally: "Pay us money, pass a physical, don't kill yourself or cut your forehead."

Hey, better to be licensed as a "Wrestler" in the "Sport of Wrestling," than, say, the Plumbing Trade.

I mean, who ever heard of a Plumbing Wrestler?

Does Maine require a license for other sports as well?

Hmmmm...working on those pipes upside down under the kitchen sink was akin to wrestling! :incazzato:

Well, I looked, and apparently, they don't anymore. But they did back then. Apparently MRSA title 32 chapter 101 no longer exists, but chapter 115 does, and it reads:

32 §13501. Commission (REPEALED)
32 §13502. Declaration of policy (REPEALED)
32 §13503. Meetings; chair; quorum (REPEALED)
32 §13505. Annual reports (REPEALED)
32 §13506. Jurisdiction (REPEALED)
32 §13506-A. Prohibited competitions, exhibitions and events (REPEALED)
32 §13507. (REPEALED) Powers and duties
32 §13508. Headgear required; safety equipment (REPEALED)
32 §13509. Head injuries (REPEALED)
32 §13510. Boxing, wrestling and kick-boxing licenses (REPEALED)
32 §13511. Wrestling licenses (REPEALED)
32 §13512. Permits for foreign copromoters (REPEALED)
32 §13513. Promoter's reports (REPEALED)
32 §13514. Taxes (REPEALED)
32 §13515. Decisions (REPEALED)
32 §13516. Denial or refusal to reissue license; disciplinary action (REPEALED)
32 §13517. Penalties; injunction (REPEALED)
