Hey James (Tron Guy)!!

Well I'll say, here and now, in front of everyone, that I admire and respect you for living the life that you want to live, the way you want to live it. It's so damn easy for people to snark and snipe from their lonely little rooms, people who DON'T have the courage to put it all on the line, publicly. I've got no use for sad, sorry people like that. You? Your kind we need more of. :yes:

A lot of folks have said they think highly of me for grabbing hold of my fame and owning it...but I really don't see that I have any other choice. The Star Wars Kid, Ghyslain Raza, proved that one. When my costume page broke across the Internet, I realized that there was no way I could run away from it, much less make it go away. That left me with just one choice: grab it with both hands and enjoy it. I can honestly say that I've had a lot of fun, and done a lot of things, and gone a lot of places, and met a lot of people I wouldn't have had the opportunity to otherwise.

This airplane is part of that. Yeah, I could have gotten a ho-hum, me-too design on mine, but, dammit, I'm the Tron Guy, and I'm going to enjoy it. I'm really happy it turned out just the way I'd intended.

The folks who are carping about the costume would be lost if Internet fame happened to them. My gut has me wishing some of the most obnoxious get struck by that particular brand of lightning, but it's a trial by fire I wouldn't really wish on anyone.
 
I'd say you'll get the last laugh as you fly off into the sunset in that beautiful bird, no matter what you're wearing while you do it! The mean posts weren't on there when I first read it...sorry.

Glad to hear that, Matt - I couldn't imagine you were someone that would have linked to that.

I have to wonder about those guys - I mean, how am I supposed to take some yerk seriously when he has a sig line that says "I have two speeds: walk and kill". Sheesh. And HE thinks he has standing to judge someone else???
