Can cut
Head style unimportant

You didn't specify enough information. Coarse (24) or fine (32) thread? What type of head, flat (flush), pan, bolt? You'll almost certainly have to cut to get that odd length.

Any local hardware store, True Value, Ace, Home Depot, etc. Buy 2 3/4 long and cut or grind 1/16" shorter.

Only problem with local store stuff is it's usually junk that'll rust or break. Lowe's and Home Depot both sell so-called "galvanized" that'll be brown as chocolate within a few months exposure to the weather.

McMaster is the way to go. Especially if you have lots of other bolts to order. You can get packs of 100 stainless steel bolts in literally any configuration for cheap. Easy to build a little collection of spares. Shipping is always fast and reasonable as well.
