We're putting a GTX 345 in the STOL 750 we're building. I'm looking for configuration
parameters so it recognizes the GAE 12 Altitude Encoder. It's standalone and not
part of a glass panel. So far Garmin wouldn't help.
Thanks
Roger

Thanks, TiltOn
Supposedly the GAE12 was calibrated by SteinAir before they sent it. I'm looking
for the configuration settings for a standalone 345 with GAE12 installed. Tried
Garmin and they were zero help. I'll try SteinAir when they open.

What is not configured correctly, is the unit complaining about something? If they calibrated the GAE-12, I presume they set the couple configuration settings that were necessary, and that should "just work" when it's connected to your 345. (You'd still need to configure other things, such as your flight ID, ICAO identifier, etc, but I'd presume the settings to use the encoder would have been set when they did the calibration). Is the unit complaining about no config module? If so, I'd double check that you put the pins in the right spots. Do you have the install tool software so that you can connect to the GTX via USB and access the configuration that way, or are you having to do it all through the front panel?
