Got one of these little devices for Christmas and was going to set it up today.... however, looks a little more involved....

Anyone here set one of these up with a smart TV.. I understand getting the card, but now there is the app, dvr service, blah blah blah....

Is it worth it?

If you set it up as part of a DVR, yes.
