Having trouble getting to AOPA Forums?

Thought I'd post this here because I ran into this myself.

AOPA has, happily, linked their forums to their membership database. Hooray!

However, this can cause troubles for anyone (like me) who goes direct to the forums w/o going to the member site.

So if you've been going straight to forums.aopa.org and not going thru www.aopa.org/members, you may have trouble logging in.

To fix, just go to http://www.aopa.org, then go to the members section and sign in if you are prompted to do so. Then you should be able to go directly to the forums and as long as your browser saves your cookies, you shouldn't have to do this more than once.

You'll also not be able to use the board without accepting cookies, which kills reading from the library, darn it. Only downside, which I doubt affects very many people.

I use libraries only occasionally for internet while travelling. Usually works better to use an internet Cafe or just rock up at Starbucks and Wifi.
