Has Anyone Seen this Diesel Product?

If it actually worked, it would be impossible to keep off the front page of every newspaper in the world.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

I saw it advertised but have my suspicions.

Well, well...

Our German technician grew up in Germany where he learned many years ago how to mix a few simple ingredients into vegetable oil to run any diesel effectively. His teachers during those post WWII years were Mercedes engineers who designed some of the world's first production diesels. After moving to America, this knowledge was useless due to the LOW cost of petroleum diesel. Recently, however, with ever increasing fuel prices he contacted associates in Germany, reformulated the system to work well with modern diesels, and is now making it available to all Americans. DSE was formed with the explicit purpose of making this knowledge and additive available to anyone for less than the cost of ONE tank full of today's petroleum diesel. We are confident you will find this information valuable.

A German technician who grew up in Germany?

Get outta town....

BTW, notice you have to stop by a few restaurants who will give you a few hundred gallons of "clear vegetable oil."

Unh hunh...

Restaurants don't give it away much these days. There are companies paying to collect it.

that same question pops up frequently on a couple of diesel boards I hang out on - yes, POAers, I'm a butterfly - general consensus is it's in the same category as gas magnetics, magic tonic and elixors, and snake oil.

It is doable, it's a vege oil system and they're counting on you getting the base stock from resturants and then filtering it through a filter set that you can buy at a good hardware store (you'll need a pump as well, the filtering system will cost a couple hundred bucks minimum, and a couple hundred more if you want to do a good one). Once it's clean, there's not much more that you need to do to it, though some further treatment makes a better product, especially in the cold.

the argument is not veggie oil - I know a number of guys burning straight WVO - the argument is the "catalyst" claim - a few pretty sharp chem guys have strong arguments that it's not a catalyst, simply an additive that doesn't really change anything - and have seen no change between straight wvo and wvo + diesel secret in terms of power, btu, mileage, etc ... I don't have links right now but there are threads on the diesel boards about it ... pages and pages and pages of threads
