I hope that you're having a great birthday.

BTW, I love your avatar...it's Lee Bottom Field, isn't it?

Happy birthday Gil!! Haven't see you around much, hope NY is treating ya well!

Hey Guys and Gals,

I'm sorry for coming to the thread this late. I didn't mean to be a snob or ungrateful. I've been so busy that I haven't checked this or "the other" board forums in 5 days. Heck, I haven't checked my non-job-related personal email in 3 days now.

I really appreciate your good wishes and thank you for thinking of me. You always cheer me up. Thanks a lot.

Yes. It's our plane parked right out of the little cabin at Lee Bottom. It's one of my best photos ever. It evokes in me the peaceful moments experienced on that lovely field.

How was the Angel Flight meeting tonight?
It was a good meeting. There were about 20 pilots there. It was very informal and more of a get together to hangar talk about Angel Flight NE than anything else. We're trying to build up the contingency of pilots based at HPN and surrounding airports. AFNE as an organization is also trying to reach out to other hospitals in the NE to "spread the wealth" a little. As you know, most of our missions are into Logan (BOS) to take patients to Boston's Children's and Shriners Hospitals. Maybe one of these days I'll be flying kids into HPN to take them to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. (No advertisement intended.

You're darn right about that. Sometimes I feel like I don't know what's going on here anymore. I'm working hard, putting a lot of extra hours in the practice. I have to be sort of the role model. I'm trying really hard to keep my division intact without letting anyone go. It's tough. Lot's of people have lost their jobs and medical insurance coverage and we're seeing less patients per practice site. So the solution, according to my superiors, open more practice sites. Lot's of driving to & from and long meetings.

It's good to hear from you...I was beginning to worry. Sounds like you're VERY busy.

In case you missed this thread...here is the latest picture of Elizabeth right before her first aerobatic ride. When she writes something up about how she liked the ride, I'll send it to you. :)

Wow, Elizabeth is really tall now. I bet she had the time of her life with her "roll model" auntie. I'm not surprised at all that they remembered the procedures so vividly. That's how kids are when they do what they love and love what they do.

My greatest joy as a pediatrician (especially in Adolescent Medicine) is seeing kids grow and mature, turning into beautiful and talented persons.

Thanks for sharing Diana.
