I went to Lowe's looking for the striping paint mentioned above, but although the system showed a case in stock, it was nowhere to be found.

Supply-chain shortages, maybe. Shopping can be tricky nowadays.

Last summer I wanted to buy a can of aerosol yellow striping paint, and none was to be found in any local store. Their shelves were largely empty of all kinds of spray paint, in fact. No yellow striping cans were available on Amazon then, either. Finally I found a nearby True Value store with one remaining can of white striping paint.

Use duct tape. Think of the all of the conversation starting options it gives you

I just used the white house paint on hand with masking tape in my own hangar. Very fast, simple and cheap.

Did you tape the lines to get them straight or just used your steady hand?

Lol, I did NOT get the art genes in my family. Forget stick figures, I can't even draw a straight line. I masked it off and rolled it. (Same for the asphalt outside the hangar!)

Lowes had white, orange, and blue striping paint, but no yellow. I will say that their overhead storage was...not the most organized. It very well may have been there, but it was not able to be located.
