Hi, new member here, and looking for some advice. I´m IR rated pilot from Bavaria, South Germany flying a nice C172 with new GTN650, G3x and GFC500.
When loading an approach, the GTN creates automatically a waypoint SHxx (xx = runway designator) 2 NM before treshold. Anyone any idea why that is? What does SH stand for? short?Garmin manual is no help. Is there any way to skip this function or modify? e.g. 4 nm would make more sense as ATC often ask to report.

Did you also follow along with your efb (ForeFlight or Garmin pilot or whatever?)

Just curious if you saw the same thing on both

What type of approach? In fact, can you specify some approaches where you've seen this?

Is the waypoint roughly where the missed approach would be executed?
