Sad for all involved, RIP. I worked for Taquan Air for one year in 1999, not the same company as they filed chapter 11 in 2000 and everyone was let go....

I was wearing a polo today not a flight suit, but I did go over to the hangar to see how I could help out.
It’s really heartbreaking when things like this happen, it’s a very small and tight knit community.

Edit: in looking for updates, I came across a news anchor saying that the accident occurred near "Ca Chicken".

When I was there last year on a cruise, as we pulled into port, I commented that float planes were like mosquitoes up there. It was fun to watch, but you got to keep you eyes open. RIP to all.
