I just had a CGR-30P installed in my Navion with a E-225 engine. I am having some issues and would like to hear from others who have this instrument. My plane has the pressure carb so I have a forward and return transducer for fuel flow. Even with the engine not running I can see a .2-.3 gph fuel flow when the instrument is powered. We saw this before I took delivery of the plane and EI did a SW update but that hasn’t resolved the issue.
Also during a flight yesterday when I reduced power on downwind the MP reading went to zero and stayed zero through landing and shutdown at the fuel pump. After restarting to taxi back to my hangar the MP read fine.
I have noticed that I can no longer get the engine to idle below 980-1000 RPM. At this idle the MP reads 17-18” which seems high. Savvy Aviation which analyzed the recordings says to look for an induction leak. Could there be a leak at the new MP sensor that could cause the idle and the Zero reading issues? Any advice or suggestions for further diagnosis and resolution?
Thx
