GPS spoofing

Encountered this over Myanmar a few days ago. It was interesting; the Avidyne 540 seemed most susceptible, and most of the time either the Aero 660 or iPad was still working. However for a couple of hours all three were spoofed/jammed.


It also made for quite the reported headwind.

We continued using a combination of pilotage, VORs, and radar vectors during the periods ATC could actually see or talk to us.
 
Yeah, we get jammed for about an hour anytime we're flying along the south shore of the Black Sea. I've heard about some instances of spoofing as well, but I haven't personally seen that. It's no big deal - just a few button pushes on a CDU and back to my coffee - but sometimes the GPS receivers don't come back online, so we'll make a quick satcom call to maintenance to reset the breakers (we're not supposed to do this ourselves unless directed - thus the call).
