Got the TransPac call...

... first came an email, then a nice recruiter, looking for CFIs to fly for them.

Any CFIs here have experience with something other than full time work for TransPac? I'm gainfully employed not flying, and I love to teach, but my goal is more interesting flying in more places. I'd be happy to pinch hit for TransPac for a month occasionally, but have no interest in a "job."

Any CFIs who want to talk the the recruiter, I'm happy to pass along the info. Anybody who knows the operation, let me know what you know?

I've lost track of all the school name changes, but is TransPac the same school that used to be Pan Am a few years ago? Better known in the
PHX area as 'Trans Fright'?

Yes but the call sign is "Mesquite" now.

To the OP: I'm not sure TranPac does part time kind of work. They go fast and hard and I don't know if jumping in and out is something that works with their model. The good news is that there are many other places in Phoenix that train and I'm sure you could find an arrangement like you're looking for. I get phone calls many times a year about coming in and doing some freelance stuff at local schools.
