IPC this evening after work. ILS 17, VOR/DME 35 and RNAV (GPS) 17 at OLM. Coming from the airport to the RNAV approach requires a hold in lieu of a PT, so all elements are covered. Using a GNS430W makes this awfully easy. Nice to know that I can file for this weekend's trip across the state, not that the weather appears to be anything but severe clear, but with the forecast lightning tonight I may need the clearance just to get through the smoke (had some actual last September for exactly that reason). All the tools are ready. :D

I know the feeling Ghery. After 20 years in Colorado, I'm getting my instrument ticket wet again.

As expected the flight (both ways) was severe clear conditions. But, filing IFR and using the system was good practice. I need to do that more often (I need to be home enough to do that more often).
