The original "I don't know it all" of aviation.
The September/October 2014 edition of the FAA Safety Briefing e-magazine has some really good information for folks that are considering starting training, or have just recently started.

The articles explain
  • Selecting which program: Part 141, Part 61, collegiate
  • How to select a flight instructor (CFI)
  • The basics of the airman medical application process
  • Making the most out of your ground school experience
  • Making the post flight procedures a priority
  • Rental Aircraft 101

It's good enough stuff that I want to nominate this post/thread (and the link to the publication) to be a sticky for this forum. We get these questions frequently enough that having this e-magazine to point students to would be a good resource for the forum.
