Good Aviation Publicity

Lincoln, NE's News channel 8 contacted us (Performance Flight Training) about doing a story! I was pretty surprised to find out it was their idea! It's not often you see the news cover a good story on flying so this was long overdue. Greg did a pretty good job of describing what goes on and why he enjoys it. One of our other instructors is shown talking with one of our instrument customers and of course he got a great shot of N824SP (me and my student!) taking off. I love the enthusiasm the reporter had during the whole shoot " it's about this time that the instructor actually expects you to fly the plane" and the "yea baby!! Now we're flying!" This even made us laugh!!

It's about time aviation got a little face lift even if it's a smile on the local community.

Bela Lugosi once famously quipped that there was no such thing as bad publicity on the way into the methadone clinic. Nonetheless, it is refreshing to see a positive piece about GA. Kudos to the reporter and the flight school.
