I cannot get my gmail via my iMap connection today. Is anyone else having this problem?

I can go to the gmail web and log in but not through my email reader. I re-verified all the server settings and nothing has changed.

I am using windows mail on Vista and works fine. Also tested it on Iphone and seems to be working fine there also

Thanks guys!

It is something on the ATT DSL network today. I switched over to the Comcast network and could gain access. That tells me the client is configured properly. I wonder if ATT is blocking gmail now or something is wrong in the DNS?

If you're allowing the DNS to be assigned by AT&T, i bet that's it.

Good to know Troy!! Sometimes when I am behind the Great Firewall it helps to have a non-Chinese DNS to get to actual news and information. I'll have to try those if they are not blocked altogether now.

Does the Great Firewall also block access if you are using an encrypted VPN link? How would it know? I haven't been there in a few years, so this hasn't been an issue, but "enquiring minds want to know". :D

VPN is the free way around the great firewall. I use it to also watch tv from overseas when Hulu won't let the foreign IP address that I would have access the program.
