Wow!

Throughout her life, Cox has impressed people with her ability to negotiate without arms. But she has attracted some international fame with her latest achievement: earning a Federal Aviation Administration sport pilot's license. The 2005 University of Arizona graduate also has started her own company, and the product she sells is herself.
Standing on a bright-blue 1946 Ercoupe 415C airplane at Ray Blair Airport in San Manuel, northeast of Tucson, Cox uses her left foot to place a clipboard on the wing. Attached is a list of 30 things she must do before flying, including checking the oil, making sure there's no wing damage and checking the gas level. She ticks off each item with a pencil she holds with her right foot.

Like with deaf pilots, I can't imagine what it takes to pull it off.

This is great, but I'm pretty sure this is AT LEAST the fourth thread about her now. PoA = Pilots of Alzheimer's?

Even better is that by Mari's results, this is exactly the 4th thread on her (unless Mari missed a few, but 4th is the number I'd thought up). So, from this isolated occurrence:

1) Kent has the memory of an elephant
2) Mike is a PoA (Pilot of Alzheimer's)

:D

Ah, but it wasn't much of a challenge, was it Mari?

Mike: Alzheimer's. :P ;) Either that or Pilots-of-this-board-think-its-another-one.

OKeee. It's amazing how much I miss.

I did a quick search and didn't see anything that looked like it in the first page.

My excuse is none of the reads had obvious titles. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

1) Kent has the memory of an elephant

 Does an elephant have good memory?

I actually do have an excellent memory for events and numbers, but for some reason I can't remember names to save my life. :dunno: I can tell you my girlfriend's phone number from 1993, or even my parents' license plate numbers from 1979, but if I met you 30 seconds ago I probably already forgot your name unless you said it two or three times at least!

I was pretty sure it was the 4th thread on the subject, though.

So do you remember my name? ;)

Well, it is pretty cool regardless of how many threads she gets.

I called her business phone one day to give her a heads up of a possible job. She is a speaker and gives inspirational speeches. My son has a business I though might use her services. I happened to get Jessica on the phone and had a nice talk with her. She is amazing. Flies an aercoupe or aircoupe. Bob

I usually have a crappy memory but I know how to use the search function. ;)

I also have been following the stories about Jessica since I met her a few years ago.

Yeah, but there's several reasons for that:

1) I "knew" you online first.
2) We discussed how to pronounce your name online first.
3) I always remember the names of pretty long-haired blonde girls. ;)

+1

A story as inspirational as this never gets old.

I just wonder how she handles using the "Little Johnny" for women. :happydance:

+2.

And I've only had to use the one for men once, and that was on the ground after I found the FBO was closed!:yikes:
