I just picked one of these up for my avionics upgrade project. It looks like you have two options to connect it, one analog and one digital. Is it as simple as using the ARINC 429 connection? It looks like I have 2 of those. The first one is connected to my 330ES.

Have you read the GI275 install manual, specifically pages 5-12, 5-13 and B-5 through B-8?

Yes, I have those printed out.
The ARINC 1A and 1B are already in use with the connection to my transponder. The 430w has a ARINC 2A / 2B in.. Can I splice the ARINC out to the xpdr to the inputs on the gi-275 and and use the 2nd input on the 430 for the 275?

I think I recall reading in one of the install manuals (GNS maybe?) that this is permissible. I also seem to recall that the 330ES has an A429 data concentrator function. Perhaps you can hook up the output of that do the 275. Beyond that, what does the 330ES do with the A429 data? Can whatever data is being consumed come from RS232?

UPDATE: I have rs232 1 from the 430w connected and through the 275 diagnostics page confirm data flow. I also have tapped into the ARINC out 1A1B and I see tags on the diag screen of the 275. HOWEVER, I still am getting NO GPS FIX on the enhanced HSI screen. I assume that I wont see anything on the CDI till I actually fly an approach...

I almost think that I will need to find somebody local to compare notes with who has a 275 hooked to a 430W..

Sounds pretty likely that you've got an input or output configured for the wrong format.

Do have a clear view of the sky, or are you sitting in a hangar?

Just a followup-- It turns out I had the wrong output type on the rs232 setup in the 430w
