Getting on a Statin as a preventative, will this affect my 1st class medical?

I was recently recommended to start taking a statin to avoid long-term risk of heart issues (20 years+). Will this be an issue for an AME to issue a 1st class medical for me? No, I do not have heart disease, haven't had a heart attack, etc, just high cholesterol hereditarily and weighing options on being preventative.

And a darned good thing it’s a yawn. I think atorvastatin is the #1 most commonly prescribed drug.

Like bbchien said it will be non-issue (paraphrased). Reporting it is a lot nicer than having to report the heart issues it has a very good chance of preventing.

Used to fly a King Air for a Heart Hospital. First thing they did was give me a physical and put me on a statin for cholesterol. Been taking it for almost 20 years with no FAA issues. Once you report a prescription on your medical app plan on reporting it for ever.
