there's a setting within FA that will let u see the VFR flights as well.

They will pick up anything in the national system. Since you should be handed off to another center on flight following you should be in the system. Sometimes centers do strange "stuff" and give a code that can't be handed off then ya get the radar services canceled "stuff" and FA never sees you. At least it used to be that way. With ADS-B they seem to be picking up more VFR flights.

There are methods to speed it up a little, make certain calls on certain days and ask questions in the correct way. This is just a small part of the knowledge dr Bruce brings to the process.
