The slim chance of flying to Gaston's is now officially 0.
The plane will depart the hanger tomorrow for the avionics shop for auto pilot installation.
Weather is being difficult. We're weighing all our options. Hopefully we can figure out a way to make it Thursday. I'll know more when the TAFs come out tonight.
Looking forward to seeing you and the Bo on Friday. GodspeedI'll be in Bonanza 7892R, arrive tomorrow afternoon some time.
I hope.
It is. It's even nicer when I don't mess up the landing in a plane that basically lands itselfI went flying with Felix today in his bo. It's Nice!!!!
Jeff, that would be great if you could make it!!! Be sure to introduce yourself.I'm going to be working right next door in kentucky the next two days, so I'm going to fly there in hopes of stopping by Gaston's on the way home. If the locomotives cooperate I could get out of there Sat AM.
Dave, I hope that means you're coming!!!
N8483F Leaving MSN once the scud lifts tomorrow into a howling headwind.....
Dave, I hope that means you're coming!!!
I don't respect them, I just remain scared as heck about them. Embedded T-storms WILL keep me on the ground. Please respect the T-storms. They brought down a TBM Tuesday, on departure from IOW.
What is at SIK/Planning on leaving 1C5 at about 1530Z, will be stopping at SIK for lunch around 1800Z or so, if anyone cares to join us.. planning on VFR at this point, that may change..

What is at SIK/
I was going to stop at JEF
peoria to western kentucky this morning, 48kt wind right on the nose. Altitude didn't matter.According to tomorrow afternoon's winds aloft forecast when I checked, headwinds for that route appeared to be in the 40-60 knot category.

Well, so much for that idea. The plane's packed, ready to go... and then the weather (ceilings/visibility) go back to crap. Looks like if there was a hole in the clouds you could get above them, but whatever, now I'm sitting at home on my couch annoyed at the weather, so I'm just going to have a glass of wine (no, not from the case that's destined for Gaston's) and hope that tomorrow is better...
