Garmin goodies?

It's a mouse! Probably similar in function to the "roller ball" or "mouse" in the Dassault Falcon 7X. I like the handle, something you could keep your hand in place in turbulence.

How about voice control of your G1000? Tune up frequencies by talking? In this document, they suggest the system would monitor your outbound communications, and when it hears ATC tell you to switch to "118.65", and you reply "118.65, good day", it either automatically does so or has it instantly queued up and ready for you to do so. Not spoken "COMMANDS", as much as monitoring command "interpreting" the likely intended result to reduce workload.

Do they already have this in production, from a 2008 patent?

Notice how the airspace rings are bold or not bold (de-emphasized) depending on your altitude and whether or not that airspace is actually a factor for you at your current altitude.

Yep, the marketing department has some catchy name for it and it's on some of the handhelds.
