I’m having problems when I activate an approach. Suspend immediately pops up. Has anyone had this issue.

Have you “direct to” a point on the approach?

We need a little more information than that. Like a view of the flight plan so we can see what waypoint/leg was active and where you were at the time. Without that, no way to even tell whether box error or human.

Have you tried to recreate it with the PC trainer app?

When I’m arriving at airport and load approach everything is fine. When I activate approach it immediately pops up suspend.

That doesn't make any sense. That's why I suggested seeing if you can duplicate it on the PC trainer.

But just as a point of information - there is never a need to select "Activate Approach" in a GNS and good reasons not to. When it's working properly the only thing "Activate Approach" does is bring you to the transition you originally selected when you loaded it, even if you don't want to go there because it's behind you now.

@Jimmy Bond, in case you don't know what I'm referring to, here's an example. You are inbound to Goodland, Kansas from the northwest. You load the approach with GDL VOR as the transition and end up getting vectors to final. When you receive the final vector, "turn left heading 340, maintain 5,700 until established, cleared for the ILS...", you select "activate approach, hoping it will activate the extended final approach course. I doesn't. Instead, your GPS sends you to GDL VOR.

Personally, I don't like using the "activate approach" function, I prefer going into the flight plan and activating the waypoint I'm cleared, if it's in the approach part of the flight plan, then the approach is activated when you do that. This is more predictable IMO. We really more information, like where are you relative to the approach, what type of approach, things like that. I find issues like this are almost always operator error.

Works fine loaded from flight plan. Suspend pops up if you just load it from a direct to airport. It’s never done that before. It’s just since refurbishment from garmin. Still going have it checked.
