what is the latest cost of sending a Garmin 430 for radio comm service?

Is it WAAS? If not, you have to upgrade it to WAAS and they include the service in that.

doesnt look like they list the repair price anymore. same for W

The 430 is was, getting a message , comm needs service

You have to get it repaired through a dealer. I think it's around $1,250.

It is about $1000-$1200, and they basically make it like new. Needs to be WAAS though.

They will 100% repair a non waas unit as long as it is 14/28V unit. 28v non waas units need to be field repaired up upgraded to WAAS.
GNS430W repair is $1,200.00 GNS430 non waas repair is $1,100.00

But when I tried to upgrade one they said it must be upgraded to WAAS. I’m thinking less than 100%. In my experience, 0%.

My 430 W went to Garmin for a set fee about two years ago. As I recall it was $1400, but I may be off on that number. I got it back and it still had problems. They worked on it some more and gave up. They gave me an exchange unit for the same price and it’s worked perfectly ever since and with all the latest upgrades as part of the price.

Not sure what you mean. If you sent in a 28V non waas then they force you to upgrade.

I send in WAAS and non WAAS units regularly for repair and upgrades. Like 2-3 times a week.
