If there's a GPS bump on the plane exterior, it might be WAAS. If there ain't, it isn't.
The GNS 430 uses 8mb green label data cards. The 430W uses 16mb silver label (or newer orange label) cards. You might be able to tell by popping out the data card if you can't boot the unit.
