G1000 HDG Problem at Oshkosh

The HDG indicator in our DA40's G1000 went intermittent at Oshkosh. It would work for a moment, then X out. We were advised by Garmin, Diamond and a local avionics shop that it could be a faulty sensor or a local magnetic anomaly.

Did anyone else have this problem?

I had a similar issue with my G-500,turned out to be a loose plug on sender unit.
