Tony came up to Wisconsin with his Jet-A powered Alero and a trailer to pick up a glider this weekend, so Pete and I had to make sure he had a good time.

Note the shirt Tony is wearing.

I did take a picture of Tony and Pete drinking PBR at a bar on State Street, but it didn't come out so well... Kinda dark.

Come again any time, Tony!

...hmmm.. now what words might one use to describe that grin....?

Hmmmm, the one on the right seems to be lacking some upper torso ballast. Otherwise, not too shabby.

I recognize Tony, but I didn't realize the other two were POAers as well. :D

I didn't notice Tony. Was he in the picture?????

;)

Sounds like fun, guys! Now on to the important question - what kind of glider did you pick up?

Oh, I'm an airplane geek, aren't I?

It was the bare frame fuselage of a Cherokee II, like mine. its not in horrible condition but if it were to ever be made into something flyable the joints would need to be reglued. its really old and has been between hangars and garages for the last long time. and it was never varnished.

most importantly, it came with a full set of plans. I felt like I was transporting a copy of the dead sea scrolls on the drive home. ive been looking for a set of those for a long long time
