I want to make a correction to this post. The PMA7000M-S has been discontinued for more than 13 years. While we still support the panel, we cover the repair under our new out-of-production repair policy.

We used to simply add 20% each year after obsolescence to the original flat repair fee of $199. You can quickly calculate where after 13 years it became uneconomic ally to repair.

We also didn't want to gouge the customer for repairing some of the failures that are easier to repaired compared to others.

So effective the beginning of 2014 we implemented a repair policy of obsolete products that I believe is more reasonable.

We charge a $200 non-refundable repair estimate fee. We then will call with how much more it will cost to repair. If the customer believes it would not be financial wise to repair the obsolete unit, the customer can elect to apply the $200 towards the slide in replacement PMA7000B

So I am sorry but it will cost more than one hour of labor to repair, but considering the age of the PMA7000M-S series, I believe we have at least, a reasonable approach to continuing to support this and other discontinued products.

Sincerely.
