Friend died in plane

I know everyone here is familiar with the helicopter crash that killed nine individuals.

However…

On Tuesday, January 28th, our local Coroner, Cinda Edwards, and her husband, former Mayor Frank Edwards, died in a plane crash in Springfield, Illinois. Frank was a commercial pilot and a certified flight instructor.

They departed from Sarasota, Florida in a Piper Aerostar to Springfield, Illinois. They were only 10 miles from the airport with a ceiling of less than 500 feet.

As a mortician, I worked closely with Coroner Cinda Edwards. As a student pilot, I knew Frank Edwards.

Very sad.

Oh my I didn’t realize there was a thread already started on this. I didn’t want to start a thread because I didn’t know how the POA community would respond. But after looking at the thread, it seems it has brought us together.

Condolences. Very sad to hear that. I had the thought with Kobe, understand it but, that all of these occurrences are equally a loss. A celebrity death gets treated as a larger event but it isn’t, all loss of life is a loss..equally.

I think that is nothing more than conjecture.
