...it's about dang time!

After more than a year of transition work (the lions share of which was delayed thanks to the absolutely asinine policies of Paypal), the last ties between myself and ownership of Pilots of America are gone.

It has been my privilege to have been able to be a part of the creation of this website and see the success it has become. Who knows - if I ever get back to flying (not flying now due to insurance restrictions), I'll be back more actively. ;) Though I'll probably still lurk around the SZ and chime in from time to time. :)

While I still had access, I should have upped my post count to something like 100,000 just to cheese off Scott when he gets back... ;)

Back from where and why do you think it would "cheese me off"?

;)

If you want to take the cheater's way to the top, that says more about you than me :yesnod::yesnod:

I earned my posts, in the trenches battling some very adversaries that are now long gone to the great purple beyond!!!!:rofl:

I'll start to worry when you start counting informative or otherwise valuable posts. IMHO Spin Zone should count as negative posts, but what do I know.

Go ahead Chuck multiply your post count by 10 aor 20.

Thanks for all the work you did in starting up this website. It sure has brought a lot of people together from all over the country.

I went rounds and rounds last year with Paypal over their BS...finally got them to remove all of that crap about holding my $$ for 60 days..ridiculous sorry you had to deal with them as well.

Oh there is ONE little thing left.

Does anyone want to take ownership of the PoA group on LinkedIn?

BZ Chuck. Ya all done good here. And I believe your new title is "PoA Emeritus". Post counts don't apply.

After Paypal screwed Tom Downey last year I refused to do business with one of my suppliers which would only honor my credit card(s) via Paypal. I haven't dealt with them since. One demonstrator may not bring resolution to a problem but I know the message got through to Paypal.

uuuh, Paypal just saved me from a scammer - who was real good at his game - so I don't have any criticism for them...

I'm glad to hear it. That does not change how they deal with people who, in their assumption, are "suspicious" when they really aren't. In our case, they held us up for MONTHS because I mistakenly tried to convert the account to a non-profit account, which to paypal ALWAYS means "tax exempt non profit" but to us simply meant "not for profit". They imposed hoops upon us to prove we were something we never claimed to be, and locked up PoA funds for months, refusing to even allow me to simply UNDO the change.

I used to think the WORLD of paypal - right until they decided it was our turn to be screwed.

Sorry for the PayPal hassle, I'll add my thanks to you for setting this up and keeping it a nice place.
