Thanks for the responses in advance. I've read most of the posts regarding "substance abuse" and the FAA, sounds like a nightmare.
My current license has be active without issue for 10 years after the "incident" through my governing agency. Never had a concern since, dealt with the hiccup in under a month turn around, the specialist for substance abuse told me I was an idiot and not to do it again, and medicals issued continually without questions. Was never a concern to start as it was a one time incident.
I've never applied for the FAA to date.... Any suggestions before I go to the AME? I get the ramifications for not disclosing, but this seems like a complete dumpster fire to open the can of worms when it's a non issue. Obviously my records hold this as a past issue, does the FAA look?
I have all the previous paperwork clearing me fit for duty, would that be enough for the FAA or would they most likely want me to go through their HIMS process?
