ForeFlight weather radar question

Besides indicating the direction of a weather system do the dots mean anything? Is it eta for for the center of the system in 5 minute intervals? I really want to know because im working outside and that redness is coming at us.

They're called storm tracks. If you've ever used the weather app RadarScope, it provides the same feature. Here's a screenshot from my iPhone of the app.
