Friends -

Up until recently (the last three months or so), Foreflight would automatically create draft logbook entries for my flights. Though I have not changed any settings, suddenly the draft logbook entries are not appearing. FWIW, I'm using FF with a Stratus 2S, and my FF subscription is a "Pro Plus" plan.

I'd appreciate it if anyone has any ideas about why, suddenly, FF is no longer giving me automatic draft logbook entries.

Thanks!

You need to send FF an email so they can help you...that is their job.

Did that, but the reply wasn't too helpful. I am waiting for another response, but thought I would also query the smart people here to see if they had any ideas. Knowledge is power, right?

First Foreflight response told me to check a bunch of settings (even though I told them that I hadn't changed anything). All of the setting were as they were supposed to be.

Second FF response acknowledged a bug in the last release that they claim is fixed in version 12.3, released today. They suggested I update the app and then see if it works properly. App updated...now I need to get out and fly!

I always go to the track log, then transfer it to the log book. Works every time, and the track transfers over too. Maybe I was just getting around the bug, but that how I've been doing it.

Up until recently, FF would generate a "draft" logbook entry for every flight. I could then go through the draft, make any necessary changes, and record the entry in my log book. It was pretty slick...but then it stopped working. Hopefully version 12.3 solved the problem.

That's interesting because I fly every few days and the FF log book has functioned normally using 12.2.2 since it was installed. I just updated today to 12.3 but haven't flown yet. My iPad interfaces with the Garmin FS-210.

I noticed the log book draft didn't have the same track detail as the track log, I just figured out a work around by sending the track log to the log book. I'm flying tomorrow, so I'll check out how the new release works.
