I have an Avidyne IFD550 and am looking to trade down for a 540 or 440. If I get a 540 I will be trading that down for a 440.

May I ask why? To free up space for something else? I am a big fan of the 550 and 540 but less enamored with the smaller 440.

How much extra work (wiring, peripheral hardware) would it take to go from my 540 to your 550?

Is the benefit that I get an electronic AI with synthetic vision?

We have a 550. Took out our gmx200. Love it. Great box. Easy to use.
