A little further than what you mentioned, but fly due East to Ocracoke (W95) and walk into town for plenty of good eating. Smacknalleys is my personal favorite for lunch. Finish the afternoon with a swim on the beach just across the dunes from the airport (although about a 1/2 walk up the beach is a lifeguarded beach with rinsing showers).
